In the Targa Florio Historic Regularity Rally, the third round of the Italian Average-Speed Regularity Championship, for the first time in the Sicilian event, victory went to Marco Gandino and Carlo Merenda in a Fiat Ritmo 130 TC. They were leader throughout all the challenge and also won 5th Group. Second place for Paolo Concari and Cristiano Androvandi in a Lancia Delta HF 4WD and third place for Nicola Manzini and Roberto Ricci in a Lancia Beta Coupè who excelled in 4th Group. All three crews were racing for the Scuderia del Grifone.
Crugnola-Mentasti on a Lancia Fulvia Coupè of Milano Autostoriche won the 3rd Group, while Giovanni and Marzia Veneziano won in the 2nd Group on a Porsche 356C of the Messina Classic Team. 1st Group went to Liberatore-Cartesi on an Alfa Romeo 1900 Super again for the Scuderia del Grifone.
It is worth mentioning that the President of the Automobile Club d’Italia Ing. Angelo Sticchi Damiani was also at the start of the race with a Fiat Abarth 124, finishing ninth overall and third in Group 4.
